Is so gorgeous that I am very tempted to keep it all for myself and never let anyone else near it, just in case they try to steal it.
Its the softest most cuddliest, silkiest, smoothest (and I have dyslexia) - :-)
Its exclusive to the Natural Dye Studio and out of the 10 undyed skeins I had on friday I only have 4 left, there will be lots more arriving this week, but I might have to dye kilos of "mistakes" just so you hate them and I can keep them.

Dye Studio's Open weekend
We had a brilliant weekend, the sun didn't stop shining we had lots of visitors, we met lots and lots of names we know and finally had the chance to sit and talk to you, did a bit of knitting, ate siome burgers and did some crocheting (oh and a bit of dyeing)
Didn't take many photos as was too busy talking, but here they are...
Mr Blue face and Phil trying to put the marquee up after a bottle or 2 of wine in the dark - :-)

New Fibre Fanatics Club
I am so excited about dyeing fibre, I never thought it would be possible with natural dyes. I have about 9 kgs in the dyeroom so can play to my hearts content.
I thought you might like to share my new found skill and enjoy my playings so I have started a new 3 monthly fibre club.
Lots and lots and lots of you must join so I can play and play and play - :-)
And I worked out a new way of displaying our lovely fibre, hope you like it.

Midnight ocean roving
I have updated the shop with a new BFL roving colour - Midnight Ocean
The idea was to dye a fibre that once spun would have a Noro like effect, but as I am not a spinner I have no idea if it has worked or not.
If you buy some, let me see photos - please - :-)

Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So stupid I didn't say what it is!
It is Blue Faced Leicester Superwash roving, my first attempt at dyeing roving. Due to the possible felting and bits of dye sticking to the finished fibre I haven't dared, plus the fact that the yarn/fibre needs to be simmered when you use natural dyes, mmmmmmmmm yarn soup!
But think I have solved all the problems so expect much much more - :-)

Dye Studio/Fyberspates/Blue Face
I am so excited about our open day - :-)
Some of you already know it has turned into a joint Fyberspates/Natural Dye Studio/Blue Face fund raising/party/open day weekend type thingie.
26th and 27th of July 2008 Moors Farm, Hollesley, Woodbridge, Suffolk
We will have lots of fibre, yarn and kits for sale. Jeni and I will be doing dyeing demonstrations. Buy a Mirasol draw ticket and get a free burger (veggies catered for). We will have tea and coffee but if you want to bring some wine we don’t mind, although we might have to test it for you. You can sit, knit, spin, crochet, relax and do lots and lots of talking - :-)
We are difficult to get to without a car, but as there are only a few trains to Woodbridge each day, hopefully you should be able to do a taxi share. The drive through the forest is well worth the fare.
If you want to make a weekend of it and visit Sutton Hoo, Orford Castle, the forest and beach, we do have a list of B&B’s, hotels and campsites - please mail me for details.
